Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

Looks well thought out and a work of art as usual! Can't wait to get the painting done in February!

Why wasn't your picture selected for the calendar?

Folks, As usual, I have to say the main reason for not being selected was the image size/file size. The absolute minimum size I can use is 3Megabytes (3M, or 3MEG). Due to how large it has to get blown up, this is the minimum. Over half of the beautiful pictures I received were less than this, disq...

Re: Our Manx (non-restoration) budget build thread

That's awesome that your gel-coat was that nice. Sure, the pictures may make it nicer than it really is, but that's a ton better than the paint, and my vote would be to keep it as you have it now. Amazing job on the abs dash as well. You're well on your way to a very nice buggy!!

I sure hope so. Again, it isn't looking good for us, and will be a last minute decision. Should know a little better towards the end of next week.

Re: 2016 Calendar Photo Credits

September! I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about Loretta and her build, as it's clearly documented in the build thread that I started, and Joe continued as he worked his magic on her. But her history to me is quite cool. I'm an impatient person at times when it comes to what I want, so whe...

Re: 2016 Calendar Photo Credits

Just FYI, I do the calendar for the Deserter Owner's Group. We are a much smaller group, and I have FAR fewer pictures to chose from than Brian does when I out together the DOG calendar. Just FYI the Deserter was probably the most popular buggy on the East coast with about 1400 buggies made. But I ...

I agree. I have asked the contributors to post their comments, but I'm assuming they're out enjoying the warm weather and will post them after all the fun runs they're doing. I can guarantee you that the next month's guy will post his information.

Re: Introducing the Manx Club "Long-Haul LEAGUE" award

I'm not really sure what the issue is, personally. Anything at all that gets members together to drive their buggies is a great idea. This trip (along with any of them I've ever seen, be it ECVW, the Alaska trip, the Keys trip, the Shuffle off to Buffalo, the NORRA run, etc... were opened up to any ...

I really like that! I'm seriously considering having those bars changed. I doubt I'll be using the hard top ever, but I'd like the option.

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

Now on the fuel system. I made a find of a bunch of NOS parts a while back, and offered them at a discount to club members, and Joe bought quite a bit of them from me. Part of the deal was for him to modify the gas tank to make it similar to ones he's done for his buggies, Loretta, and for Bud (amo...

Re: Scarlett Gets A Makeover!

So, she came back a few weeks ago from getting her roll cage built. It was an average quality build, with a few welds to grind down. I wouldn't use the same guy again. He does great work on sandrails, and I believe he thought this would be a lot easier than it was, as he didn't pay that much attent...
