I'm very sorry to hear of Rudi's passing. He was an enthusiastic member and supporter of the Manx Club for many years.

The store may have sold you a horizontal instead of a vertical fan belt.

The horizontal belts are only used on VW aircraft engines.

Unless you plan to go airborne, I wouldn't use it.

Dave Barrett does nice work. I'm sure you're pleased with the fact that the buggy runs as good as it looks. It's satisfying to see what skill, time and money can accomplish. See you in Big Bear.
