Mel, The way I have measured caster in the past is to level the chassis and then put a protractor against the beam, tilt the top tube back to 6 degrees. I don't really know what 6 degrees would equate to in inches.

I installed a Sidewinder exaust on the 1915 in my recently completed Tow'd and I also was concerned that it might be to loud, but after 130 miles at Lone Pine I found it to be just about right.

Vealmonkey, I had to make both the front and rear bumpers. The wheels are "BTR"s and the tires are Mickey Thompsons. As far as the firewall, you only need if you are going to run the front fenders.

Towd's first drive

After a 15 month restoration our Tow'd finally see the light of day for the first time. Image Other than a short list of odds and ends it looks like we will be ready for Lone Pine, we look to meeting some of you there.

Bilstein does make front shocks for KP front ends, the part number is B46-0032. As Joseph said Mckenzie's should have them.

Just to add to the confusion I checked my console on my recently acquired Tow'd. First mine is straight (no taper) also the sides are only 1/2 inch long, plus there is about a 1" lip on the front that angles up (right under the I.D. Plate.
