Allen, I had to download some free software to see the images on the USPTO website. I did and was able to find and print out the patents for both the Manx and the Manxter. Thanks http://patimg1.uspto.gov/.piw?Docid=D0203745&homeurl=http%3A%2F%2Fpatft.uspto.gov%2Fnetacgi%2Fnph-Parser%3FSect1%3DPT...

Meyers Manx Patent Print

Has anyone ever bought a copy of the print of the Meyers Manx patent that is usually listed on ebay? (ebay item number: 6574240952) Does anyone know the patent number? I'd like to look it up on the USPTO webpage.

Original 61-67 tanks fit. They are the ones specified in the original building instructions for the Manx. Also, moving the filler pipe to the top rear of the tank provides an additional gallon of tank capacity.

61 to 67 tanks will work. Earlier ones were taller. You should still relocate(weld) a new 2" filler pipe to the top left corner of the tank and weld a patch over the original filler location. One of these caps mounted in the correct spot on the hood, connected by a 2" diameter rubber fuel ...

Clark's Corvair Parts carries some of the old Otto parts catalog items. I've heard you'll have better luck if you reverse the engine rotation of the Corvair engine. http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog.cgi?function=goto&catalog=SPECIALTY&section=OTTO&page=OTTO-36

Mike Connors starred in Mannix. I can recall episodes with him powering around in a big Olds Toronado convertible, but don't recall any episodes with him in a Manx. On the other hand I definitely recall Chuck Connors(The Rifleman) in Cowboy in Africa chasing African wildlife in a genuine Meyers Manx...

Mine were approximately 16.5 inches. Its an approximation because I have a swingaxle and the ends of my torsion bars are covered by caps. Really the only way to get an accurate measurement would be to level the trailing arm and remove the torsion cap and rear wheel and drop plumb lines to the floor....

Not Bored

Maniac, The 40 manx run on Saturday morning was my first club run. I loved every second of it and hope the next one I go on has at least 50. You're right of course, that the best way to go out and play in a buggy is with just a couple friends for company, competition and safety. But I believe Saturd...
