The dash is best fiberglassed to the hood, it makes things much more rigid.

Try a change to regular oil shocks on the front, as soft as possible. Gas shocks are often way too hard for such light cars.

Most folks are looking at a way to soften it up a bit, so I am at a loss as to why you want to stiffen up the suspension on the front of a Manx. No idea. It's been gone for 13+ years now and doesn't appear to have been wrongly fitted to another kit. The car's also changed hands a few times since then.
