Re: How to soften suspension if possible
Try a change to regular oil shocks on the front, as soft as possible. Gas shocks are often way too hard for such light cars.

Re: Suspension Questions & Input
Most folks are looking at a way to soften it up a bit, so I am at a loss as to why you want to stiffen up the suspension on the front of a Manx. If you want stiff, make sure that all of the spring leaves are in the front torsion tubes, Keep the anti-sway bar on the front, use gas shocks, and be sur...

Thanks, the chrome's not perfect but it's presentable. They work better than I thought actually but will probably never be used in anger.lastmanx wrote:looks nice

Re: complete newbie
You don't say what country you're from but I'm guessing Australia or NZ? I'm pretty sure your buggy is or is a copy or version of an Apal Beach Buggy. This kit originated in Belgium but licensed versions were made in the UK and other countries. Do a Google search for Apal L (as in Long) Buggy and co...

Re: 'Hypothetical' id tag question.
No idea. It's been gone for 13+ years now and doesn't appear to have been wrongly fitted to another kit. The car's also changed hands a few times since then.jsturtlebuggy wrote:Who has the original tag that is not on the body?
What happens when the original tag shows up, maybe on another body?

'Hypothetical' id tag question.
Ok, so a guy's bought a Manx buggy and finds out through a chance meeting with the guy who used to mold authorized Manx kits in the UK that it's definitely an genuine Meyers Manx that's been seperated from its tag at some time. The molder knows what the kit's tag number was as it's the only one he e...
