Is this an original Manx top?
Bought my top from the Meyers in '68 My side curtains had a metal frame sewn inside the canvas They also had zippered windows to allow you to fold down the plastic. There were no snaps on the bottom edge of the side curtains. The leading edge had a metal flat bar stock to lock into the windshield...

Manx on the Banx 2012
Just set the windshield on the car last night, got to redo the ground strap and adjust the gearshift lever to get first gear, and we're ready for October. To make things better today's "Registration Day". Life is really gooooood.

Manx on the Banx 2012
We just reserved our beach house in Kitty Hawk for "Manx on the Banx - 2012". Now I've got eleven months to get the buggy running again. It wasn't much fun flat towing it from Cleveland to Kitty Hawk and back without driving it Saturday with the club. I want to thank everyone that trie...

Towing a Manx
Quick Question--- Planning to attend the Manx on the Banx. Thought I'd tow the buggy with a tow bar. Now a friend was over and said you'll ruin the tranny, no oil getting to the gears, needs to be trailered. So I'm thinking that if Bruce made the Tow'd for the purpose of towing it to the dunes, ...

Manx on the Banx
So I've got my wife convinced that, spending two weeks, on the outer banks, in mid October, is to die for! And doesn't "Manx on the Banx" weekend fall smack in the middle of our vacation. Amazing how these things sometimes fall into place when you least expect it? Now it's crunch time. ...

left axle stays on left
It is not a good idea to flip your axles. left should always stay on the left. Flipping axles switches the direction of rotation on the axle. the stress on the axle switches the torque, and the axle is more apt to fail under load. Every thing I have read states that you should never flip axle direct...

E-Brake position
Gary, I didn't get any directions on installing the hardware with the chassis, but yes, the tubes bolt to the e-brake handle plate they supplied. I also put a rubber grommet tube clamps at the spot where the tubes leave the pan to keep them from vibrating. Side pods are from Winnie and yes they need...

Berrien Chassis
Gary, Have been working on my rebuild for more then a couple of years. Using a Berrien chassis with a swing rear axle and a link pin front end. I'm coupling it to a Porsche 914 TYPE IV EFI engine. Check out my rebuild web site. http://home.roadrunner.com/~jpboyton/
