The front bumpers Meyers sold back in '68 and the one they now sell both bolt to brackets that are welded to the lower beam.

If it is the real deal there's a Manx body on Ebay for "$750 buy it now" in S Carolina.A good deal at that price if you are close enough to see it in person.

I bought the holder at a swap,I think it might be a '67 or later item.I had to trim it and drill new holes but it is aluminum shaped like an "H" turned sideways with a step in it to raise the plate from the body.You might find it or something similiar on Samba.

I agree,open the site back up to anyone interested in buggies,require a registration.Then you might have enough to participate in a BOTM.Nothing was accomplished by making it private,most of the buggy owners have moved on to other forums.
