Re: 2017 NORRA Mexican 1000

Well, I'm in! Had to finagle a few things, but I'll be supporting you from the pavement, or in any other way I can help. It's too bad I don't have a car to enter, but maybe its time to beef up the Dune Kat a little bit for entry next year :-) Hey Todd . . .Can a SubaruGears reverse five speed work w...

Re: Utility Manx Found!

Hi Mark, No, I haven't touched the engine yet. I was driving it around for a couple weeks in its old Claim Jumper skin, and it ran great! I'll have to drive it a bit to decide what'll need to be done. I don't know if you've ever driven an auto Corvair, but they're a kick in the pants. It's only two ...

Hi Gary, Yes, David does do great work. I'm always amazed by the small details he always thinks to include.

Re: Utility Manx Found!

It's been about a year and a half since I got the utility, so I figured it was time for an update. You may remember that about 9 months ago I left the Utility with David Barrett, intent on having David build one of his Condor Manx Chassis lifted frames that I could use as a Baja Camper Buggy. Soon a...

Re: 2015 -- TOPAZ LAKE - Sept 18-20

I'm getting excited about the cruise to Topaz. Since I basically did nothing but park dunekat when we returned from the Shuffle to Buffalo, I spent yesterday changing the oil, checking the CV joints and repacking the front bearings. Pretty much ready to go!

Re: 2015 -- TOPAZ LAKE - Sept 18-20

Hi Everybody, I’ll be coming out of Simi Valley over the 14, so I’ll meet up with everyone in Pearsonville. It looks like you’ll hit there around 9:30am. There’s a shell station along 395 right there. I’ll be sitting there ready to jump in as you pass! If anyone else is traveling down the 118 to the...

I second the nomination for Jim's in Monterey Park! They do all my work and are positively the best.

Re: Huge Mistake, Bruce and Winnie Meyers

Hi Milo, I think you're completly ignoring the whole point of a Manx . . . It's a car that you build with your own hands. Unlike the Chevys and Fords you spoke of earlier, the majority of those wanting to own a Meyers Manx want to build it themselves. Its pretty easy for someone who likes to wrench ...

Re: Shuffle to Buffalo 2015

HERE IT IS! Mike and I have completed the day-to-day itinerary for the trip, including addresses and estimated arrival/departure times for every stop between here and Frizzy's in Buffalo. About 13 of us will depart from Bass Pro Shops in Rancho Cucamonga, California, tomorrow morning at 8am, eventua...

Re: Shuffle to Buffalo 2015

For those that aren't exactly sure what to expect . . . here's a link to a write up on how the Sea-to-Sea Safari went a couple years back from San Diego, CA to Nags Head, NC. Oh, and the Kickout that Bruce drove was won by Howard Connelly at Big Bear last year, and he'lll be driving it with us to Bu...
