Re: 5/6 Rib Transmission Install

You could use thing/ Porsche 924/944 axles, Cv joints (type 4) and sub axles. should all just bolt in. the axles are shorter then bug ones and the type 4/2 cv are stronger. I used this set up with an 002 trans . Here's some info. http://www.blindchickenracing.com/how_to/cvjoints_axles/axles_and_cvs....

Re: Carburetion

They look like single port Kadrons. Check out http://www.shop.kaddieshack.com.

Lots of great info about them there

As far as a true Manx, the dashboard looks to be fiberglass but the shape doesn't look like the fiberglass Manx 2 dash. You would need to post more pics

Hope that helps

Is there any tubes under the fenders? Do you have any pics of the dash?

Thanks Doran

Re: 2017 NORRA Mexican 1000

I feel like I'm in the same boat. I had a great idea of getting the burro ready for Norra, but a 3 and 1 year old, plus running a dental practice has really limited any time to actually work on it. It's too bad we are not closer to be able to get them done.

Re: "Hop" in to our Tow'd build.....

David, I mocked everything up first. Get the trans and engine in then set the angle and build the brackets. If you are using a doghouse cooler you want to make sure it clears the body and fenders. Tilting the engine up helps offroad. Once you set the angle think about adding a support bar from the f...

I've used Pico Wheel and tire in north Hollywood to make a set of custom offset and wide rims for the Burro.

Re: Manxter Dual Sport DS-17

I like that idea of sinking in the tube. I didn't think of doing that when I built our manxter but bent the tube to go around. I never liked that it was the lowest part of the chassis. I will keep that in mind for the next build. Thanks for posting the build. There is a lot of great ideas to "b...
