Re: Manxter 2+2 EJ255 2.5lt DOHC Turbo

I have the bump from Meyers Manx for sale as I didnt end up needing it because I have a body lift and flipped the intake which requires a alternator relocation bracket (from outfront)

Re: Manxter #160 Build - Gunmetal

Hi Jeff, I'm starting the research into doing a Manxter, and the only thing left to figure out is getting the body and chassis home. Some questions for you... Is that trailer you brought yours home in a 6x12? If yes, do you think I could fit the Meyers chassis and body with all the parts in it? Tha...

Re: Manx Club Facebook Users - Say Hello here

Truthfully....not very often at all.
I have abandoned all forums tho for the most part so its nothing personal. These are great for historical purposes tho since it only takes about 4 seconds to loose something on FaceBook.

Re: Manxter160 Pics

current status is meh... Transmission parts "should" be in Friday so it goes into and stays in 5th. I have great plans on making it to Manx at the Glen this year so that will leave a week to put it all back together and make sure it actually moves. Other wise I guess I'll just finish it in...

Manxter160 Pics

This is the only Professional photoshoot I've ever paid for.

It was the best $50 I'd spent in a long time. Thanks to Marty Gaines for adding some flare 8)

Re: Manxter #160 Build - Gunmetal

So Full Disclosure... ever since getting on the facebook MC page I pretty much never make it to the forum anymore. The buggy has been completed, broken and repaired a few times and then broken again. This time requires a large disassembly with the body coming off. I wanted to redo some of the...

Re: Manxter Hood Prop Ideas

Hey Guys,
I've been envious of this hood prop since I saw it when I picked up my kit!
How did you secure the tabs to the hood and what did you use for the tabs?
Thanks for blazing a path ;)

For the record...still interested!
I had no idea that Dead Horse State (thanks for the correction, my bad) wasn't part of the grand canyon, I've never seen it before then and it looked pretty big LOL

Re: Happy 90th Birthday Bruce

Happy Birthday Bruce!! Even though that doesn't begin to cover the amount of joy you've brought me! Wish I could be there but I'm on the other coast working on my build. The thought of you keeps me going! I hope you enjoy your day and I will be seeing you soon! http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj3...

Re: Moab Event interest for 2017

I feel like this is a definite "Plan it and they will come" kind of event. When I trailered my kit back to the east coast, we went through Moab and ate at the Moab Diner. It was an amazing place (the diner was nice too), there are so many parks and amazing views. I will be using this 2017 ...

Re: Manxter #160 Build - Gunmetal

End of year update...well I'm still a looooooong way away from any actual "build" progress. I did get the SubaruGears reverse transmission kit with everything needed to make that happen and now just need to start the assembly process of that. Tiling the kitchen floor has gotten in the way ...

There's a strong possibility that I will be tagging along on this adventure. I'm right at 450 miles away from you so, I may have to do a few laps around the parking lot to earn my long haul pin....Maybe I can get NASCAR sponsorship for "The HolidayInn Express 50!!" :lolno:

Re: Manxter #160 Build - Gunmetal

Progress for this week…I blew off a car show so I could work on my front beam assembly, that and it was literally 100º with no wind and it sounded like a better idea to be in a shaded garage. I saw pictures and it looked like everyone had a great time and there were lots of nice rides. Airkewld Fron...

Re: Our new Manxter

Hi Jeff, I'm running the hanging pedal option offered with the dual sport kit. The gas pedal is from Jamar and will mount to the aluminum sub-floor. I'll use a standard jacketed aftermarket cable. Since your chassis is set up for stock VW pedals you could use the stock pedal set up just remove the ...
