My dad had one put in his '57 deluxe microbus and complained that it used more gas than the motor. (Bufflao, N.Y.) Back then, He had to go to Toronto for a dealer that would install it. Doug

I have heard of all the advantages of MP3 downloads etc but if you asked me the name of a song or a group or anything from the enterainment venue I would be lost. I would fail at " Who Wants to be a Millionaire". Now I can at least just pull out a CD and listen. Maybe one day, I will catch...

I am so simple that I don't know what "I Tunes" is or is it are. Simple is holding up a cassete recorder to the speaker. The words are important and the quality is secondary. Simple is in ones perspective and I tunes, text messaging, MP3, etc either costs extra or is not yet in my vocabula...

I will definitely keep me eye out for some of the older books. I already own most of the regular VW based repair books. I have a beetle, rabbit, westy, Ghia convertible and a buggy. Now all I have to do is retire and get them all on the road at the same time.

Boy, lots of information. I like this site. I already have Jeff Hibbards' "Baja Bugs & Buggies" and agree that it is good. I also have the movies from the club store. I'm just looking for a little Christmas present for myself. Thanks.

At our VW swap meet, I picked up a fuel valve with reserve like they had on busses. Now I just have to figure a good way to turn the valve from the drivers seat. I have also seen them in various VW catalogs like Midamerica.

Thank you Joe. I am placing an order with Amazon tomorow evening and was just looking for something to take me to the free shipping level. I am currently re-doing a front beam right now. The weather has turned cold but I have everything sandblasted to the point where I can work in the basement now. ...

Thank you for the heads up. I just hate to spend the money and then find out that it was not what I thought it was. I usually try to see a copy at the local bookstore first.

Dune Buggy Book

I am looking on-line at the book "Dune Buggy the essential manual" by Paul Shakespeare and was wondering if anyone else had an opinion about it. I see it at Amazon with a red buggy on the cover and a date of July,2006 and in the motorbooks with a blue buggy on the cover and no date. The Am...

What a list of great choises. However, as an aviation nut and attending Oshkosh for my 21st year with my aerospace engineer daughter who is also involved with VW's and fighter aircraft - it has to be #2. Great idea!

Well, I don't know how to say this so it does not sound like bragging but my first time driving a buggy was on the Manxes to Margaritaville run in a borrowed buggy. I now have a buggy that I am working on. Maybe I will get to drive for a second time when I get it done. That run sold my wife on us ge...

I have read over and over again that if you use ratio rockers, you should use a stock cam. I have not tried to mix the two so all I can tell is what I keep reading. I hope that I am not passing on the type of information that is rumor that just won't die. I'll bet there is some advice on the Berg we...
