Input - I need input.... please

It has been over 6 months since I have posted here - due to some very sobering personal delimas my buggy building took a vacation. As some of my old friends know, I have a "close" clone buggy body that I have restored and is ready for paint - BUT (grin, grin) I have an original Manx body t...

Bill was one of the ones that made me feel part of the buggy crowd when I visited the West Coast (Bug in 32) He was very helpful, even though I asked really dumb questions.... Guess that I never expressed that before - but Thanks..

Take a look at this previous thread on lift kits - this one is home made. I have ridden in this buggy - it rides like a caddy and there are no rattles, squeeks or bumps when off road. http://www.meyersmanx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3474

Thanks for the tip about using alum tube for added support. I am going to be putting the same kit onto my berrien chassis this weekend. I am going to be adding a full 1/8 inch X 1.5 inch plate to use as a washer on top of the fiberglass. yours really looks good - what size are the tires?

It was a structured ride in caravan. However, one of the buggies broke down and they ask me to take up the rear........ being the bad boy that I am, i fell behind to see what it would do.... topped out at 40, just like they said. Afterwards I was speaking to the guide - he took me for a ride in the ...

Riding on Island Time

I took a cruise last week - in Grand Turk, they offered a Dune Buggy Adventure. I took it - boy was it an riot. The Rail buggys were made in Peru with Toyota EFI Engines and auto Tranys. To govern the speed, they put old solex carbs on the engines - so they would top out about 40MPH. The 4 seater ha...

I think that is a "none of the above".... POR15 base is put on after the cleaning and acid wash. Any subsequent painting must have a tie coat (a POR product) to let it adheare to the gloss finish of the original POR. POR is a very forgiving, high gloss paint that is designed to stop rust. ...

Two weeks and counting..... I will post a map this weekend for those that may want to "drop in". There are not any more cabins available, but two of them have three bedrooms, so we can make room for those that want to see the forest with us. BRING the GPS units - we will do some fox-n-houn...

Gey, I thought you would never ask.... I saw the EMPI article in Popular Mechanics in 1965 (?) and then the Manx article in Dune Buggy Mag (now DB&HVWs) in 67... In 68 my dad bought me a 62 beetle for transportation to and from school. I insisted upon going off road with the bug and probably had...
