DC or Washington State?

Coil was my first thought. Condencers can do wierd things too. Random on and off failures usually point toward electrical. A bad ground can be a nuisense too.

The Pete version looks like a better set up to me. Definately if you are going off road. The other one looks like it would only yeild a thinner wallet. IMO
