Years ago I read a comparison test on the Manx Sidwinder exhaust along with a few others and the Sidewinder came out on top.

Having grown up only a handful of miles away from J.C. Whitney and knowing several people that work for J.C. Whitney, I can tell you that they buy all the merchandise from the same suppliers that all the big California suppliers buy from. The difference is that Whitney buys large quantitys and the p...

If you set the suspension up correctly, it will do wheelies. The problem is when the suspension is setup to do wheelies the buggy doesn't handle very well around town. Not to mention the fact that if the trans is stock you probably be needing another one in short order.

A 1914cc, 69mm stroke x 94mm cylinders, when properly built and carburated will make you practically untouchable stoplite to stoplite. Granted a bigger engine will be even more untouchable My Manx with a 1914 has run 12.51 in the 1/4 mile, it's very streetable and gets 24 mpg on the highway but ther...

Harleys are quiet when they come from the factory, they have to meet Government mandated noise and emission laws. They also have stamped in the mufflers that they cannot be removed or altered in any way under penalty of law. The problem here is that 90% of the bike the local Harley dealer sel...

I can't believe you can do it for $800/$900 bucks and still make enough money to make it worth your time. People that are not capable, don't have the time or the equipment to actually find and shorten a VW pan, will pay considerably more then the $800/$900 you have proposed.

14" wheels will get you a little lower but I know the trend is towards the larger diameter wheels. Be careful if you decide to raise the transaxle. Most buggies don't have much clearance between the top of the trans and the bottom of the rear seat.

If you buy a new windshield frame be sure to utilize the channel on the inside of the frame that will allow you to hide the windshield frame mounting bolts.

Dropped spindles and an adjustable beam will drop the front end and allow you to fine tune the ride height. You will also need shorter front shocks with the adjustable beam, provided you lower it with the beam a substantial amount. I'm not a big fan of lowered swing axle cars. I really don't like th...

I think you have a "Citation". They are now being produced by Berrien Buggy, but I think at one time they were manufactured by Breman Motorsports of Breman Indiana. I'm sure someone can help out with the history. http://www.berrienbuggy.com/2c26b2c0.jpg http://www.berrienbuggy.com/2c4908e0...
