Re: Corvair Powered Myers Manx

Mike Dario, Manx Club current board member, has a buggy with similar engine/drivetrain support framework.

New electric dune buggies

I was at a Cars & Coffee type car show at The Point in El Segundo last weekend showing off my SR when an interesting fellow stopped by asking questions about it. This man kind of looked like an incarnation of Carroll Shelby with black shirt, pants and cowboy hat with curiously enough, a Tesla lo...

Re: '66 Manx Period Build - Milo

I also started working on the top attachment. I have it attached to the roll bar now and have an idea for the front, but am waiting for parts. I'll post an update when I get it done. I'm interested in what you are thinking about the front top attachment. What are the parts you plan to use? Cool loo...

Re: Big Bear Registration is officially OPEN

Is the online registration for Big Bear 2018 something new that is required this year? Or can we just show up at the event and register?

Re: Manx Mania Summer 17

In the story "How I met Bruce Meyers and how the first event came to the East Coast" there is some missing dialog in the fifth paragraph that talks about the "contraption that Bruce designed and built to load the Kick-Out buggy and the Kick-Out SS body in the"... . What is the re...

Re: kit car show ?

If the kit car show you are talking about attending is anything like the shows that have been put on by the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles (http://www.replicarclub.com) of Southern Calif, I pretty sure you will have fun. I gather the A.H.A. started out doing their shows as fairly low key aff...

Big Bear 2017

This is just a request to the Events Planning Committee, so could it be possible to hold the 2017 Big Bear event on some other weekend than July 7 - 9? This is the weekend that Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship GEICO U.S. Round in which my family enjoys annual ...

Re: Who is going to the Steve McQueen car show?

I think I'm going to show my SR. This has got to be a 1000% better event than the AHA show that happened a few weeks ago at the Nethercutt Museum with only 7 entries! Anyhow I'm pretty sure there is going to be one very nice "Thomas Crown" replica buggy there that was also at the Californi...

Re: Starter issues

It could be a heat related problem with the starter motor if it works fine when the engine is cold but after it gets heated up, there is some binding or other issue that restricts the moving gear shaft.

Re: Manx SR2 Build

Now that you have the body almost completely taken apart, here's an idea. If you remove the canopy from the tub and make it a removable part with nuts and bolts around the engine bay plus some latches for inside the rear seat area, you can make the car configurable as an open roadster type or a coup...

Re: Big Bear 2015

I think I lost the flyer. Am I the only one who doesn't know the dates for Big Bear 2015?

If possible, I'd appreciate it if somebody could put the dates for this event in the topic title.
