Re: Meyers Manx Forum?
manxdavid, it took a long time (month) for my access here years ago. I found out at that time; the new facebook manxclub format was to be the new place, and it was debated weather to keep this site or not. it was decided that since this site holds information forever instead of the facebook site th...

Re: Locked ?
manxdavid, this is just the end of some of the old debate about the sites. like I said subjects remain forever here, so if you want to delve into the past you can. visiting members buggy builds are more entertaining than the politics on the keeping of the site. take note of the dates on posts, as y...

I emailed them a week ago, no reply, I don't really want to have to make an international phone call over something so trivial.Chicago Joe wrote:try meyersmanx.com or 760-749-6321

Re: BRAGGIN ON MANX
manxdavid, sorry to hear of the issue. My windshield and frame were personally delivered by Bruce and Winnie Meyer. A fiberglass dune buggy built long ago could have been sold without a windshield frame as an option. A local frame and glass could have been added later. I'm sorry you may have misund...

Re: BRAGGIN ON MANX
I built my authorized Manx 2 (UK version) in 1999/2000 and had to change the screen that came with it (supplied to Meyers by Dino) as they'd bent the corners wrongly, they wouldn't fit the profile of the hardtops. Quality was fine, just the wrong shape!

Is the signature on the back not just the glue that once held the stainless steel signature badge in place?5150bossman wrote:Nice! I've always been partial to yellow buggies. Be sure to protect that signature on the back. Can't wait to follow your progress as you put it together.

Re: 100 Signature Series Manx's
Here's one that I built around 15 years ago that came from the mold taken from Blem #5. Chartreuse Metalflake gel coat.

Re: 100 Signature Series Manx's
I don't have a Signature Manx, I have a British molded Manx 2.
The blem that came to the UK was never painted, it was featured in Paul Shakespeare's (not too good IMHO) buggy book.

Re: 100 Signature Series Manx's
Don't forget their are/were at least 5 'Blems', rejects that Bruce sold cheaperer as painters. Blem #5 was sent over to the UK as a plug for authorized Manxes to be molded from over here. You'd never have seen the fault in the purple Metalflake unless it was pointed out to you, Bruce was being very ...

Re: brake fluid question
Also check around and under the master cylinder. A leak there can be deceplive as it can leak into the crossmember / Naponean's hat.

Re: brake fluid question
If it's out of fluid then you need the check where it's gone. There must be a leak somewhere.
